Dissemination of scientific information: the academic priesthood

Excerpt: “Right now we are compelled to rely on different disciplines to try to understand behavior on multiple levels, with inherent tensions between them. Some people want to reduce that ambiguity by making one discipline all-explaining.”

My comment: The view of evolution from the 21st Century incorporates physiology into ecological, social, neurogenic, and socio-cognitive niche construction, which refutes mutations theory and replaces it with nutrient-dependent pheromone-controlled adaptive evolution via examples in species from microbes to man. No evidence suggests that the masses will ever stop clinging to random mutations theory/mutation-driven evolution (a bastardized version of Darwin’s work) and join neuroscientists in the 21st century. Instead, it appears that the evolutionary theorists have won the battle, and that the academic priesthood has replaced the priesthood of the Church, which prevented the dissemination of scientific information until the Scientific Revolution.
