10,000 reasons to believe in biophysical constraints (3)

See: The Darwin Code by Greg Bear

Charles Darwin was wise enough not to pin down what he could not see or know, and so, he did not overly pontificate on how the changeability of nature was encoded, and how that code could be altered in its details.

Simply put, he could see that sunlight was the most likely link to plant growth, which caused him to place “conditions of life” before natural selection. For comparison: Neo-Darwinian theorists tried to pin down what they knew nothing about by inventing ridiculous theories about mutation-driven evolution.

See for example: Welcome to the 2018 Neuroscience Meeting Planner

evolution (227 presentations)

During the next few days, all theorists could begin to learn more about ridiculous theories and serious scientists can learn what science fiction author Greg Bear, and many others, have known about biophysically constrained viral latency for more than 2 decades.

For example, serious scientists will start by looking at these presentations:

1) Virus (334 presentations)

2) microRNA  (100 presentations)

3) Olfaction (176 presentatons)

4) HERV (7)

5) m6a (4)

Most serious scientists will link N6-methyladenosine (m6A) from the energy-dependent creation of ATP to the creation of RNA and all extant biodiversity via the physiology of reproduction. Some  are likely to be as dumbfounded as I was after learning about microRNAs at SFN 2012.

See: m6A facilitates hippocampus-dependent learning and memory through YTHDF1

N6-methyladenosine (m6A), the most prevalent internal RNA modification on mammalian messenger RNAs, regulates the fates and functions of modified transcripts through m6A-specific binding proteins

The serious scientists are not likely to spend time on any of the presentations that mention evolution. There is not enough time during the annual meeting for them to waste it on ridiculous theories. The serious scientists will learn how to link what is known about olfaction and microRNA-mediated effects on olfaction to biophysically constrained viral latency of HERVs via model organisms in reports like this one (a preprint)

Human APOBEC3G prevents emergence of infectious endogenous retrovirus in mice

…APOBEC3 proteins, and particularly the human APOBEC3G (hA3G), have long been appreciated for their potent restriction of exogenous retroviruses.

Serious scientists will learn how stress-linked ERV reactivation also links the virus-driven degradation of messenger RNA to constraint-breaking mutations and to all pathology in all living genera. They may already know that the creation of sunlight was linked to negative entropy in What is Life? (1944). They will find out what goes wrong in reports like this:

651.14. ATP released from astrocytes mediates herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) infection in neurons

…ATP released from astrocytes after HSV-1 binding diffuses locally and causes P2R-dependent activation of GSK-3 in both neurons and astrocytes, likely involved in HSV-1 infection.

Everything under the sun has been linked by serious scientists to biophysically constrained viral latency (negative entropy). The serious scientists know how to stop infections by human endogenous retroviruses (HERVs). Simply put, the ATP-dependent microRNA-mediated creation of RNA links energy-dependent changes in base pairs to amino acid substitutions in the host that biophysically constrain viral latency.

For comparison to claims about the “emergence” of energy, which also infer that organisms automagically evolve their innate protection from the virus-driven degradation of messenger RNA, complaints are already pouring in from about the video representation of this article. Nice study but, My Golly, that movie is a heavy spin that doesn’t serve science well. A two-taxon comparison between rat and human demonstrates once again that evolution happens, and models of a couple cells doesn’t mean we have a “blueprint” of what makes a human brain human..

I responded:

Give ’em hell! They don’t seem to realize that you clarified the facts about diet-driven pheromone-controlled amino acid substitutions and sympatric speciation in System-wide Rewiring Underlies Behavioral Differences in Predatory and Bacterial-Feeding Nematodes.

Let’s discus the predatory journals that are eating up tax dollars and regurgitating results that have no explanatory power whatsoever because they fail to start with what is known about the creation of energy, ATP, and RNA.

See for example: Dependence of RNA synthesis in isolated thymus nuclei on glycolysis, oxidative carbohydrate catabolism and a type of “oxidative phosphorylation” (1964)

The synthesis of RNA in isolated thymus nuclei is ATP dependent.

Light-activated microRNA biogenesis and synthesis of RNA in all cell types exemplifies how biophysically constrained endogenous substrates link energy-dependent ecological adaptations to all biodiversity on Earth via the physiology of reproduction.

Anyone who is still attempting to place that fact back into the context of neo-Darwinian theories is ~54 years behind the extant literature.

See: B.S. McEwen

And, remember what Feynman presciently claimed about those who still have not linked what nematodes eat to the pheromone-controlled physiology of reproduction that differentiates C. elegans from P. pacificus — morphologically and behaviorally.
